Islamabad, May 22, 2025: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially announced the schedule for summer vacations in both public and private schools throughout the province, according to a report by Express News.
As per the notice issued by the provincial education department, primary schools located in the summer zone (plain areas) will remain closed from June 1 to August 31.
Meanwhile, summer holidays for middle, high, and higher secondary institutions in these areas will begin on June 15 and continue until August 31. The announcement further mentioned that in the winter zone, schools will observe summer vacations from July 1 to July 31.

The holiday plan will be applied to all public and private educational institutions falling within the defined zones of the province.
Punjab has also issued its vacation schedule stating that schools will close starting May 28 due to the ongoing intense heatwave. This announcement was made by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.

In response to the rising temperatures, authorities have also adjusted school hours. Until the commencement of the summer holidays, all educational institutions will function from 7:30 am to 11:30 am to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
