Islamabad, June 23, 2025: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Home Department has announced the complete automation of its arms license section. Citizens can now conveniently apply for new arms licenses and renew existing ones online through the “Dastak” portal.
This digital transformation streamlines the entire application process. Payments can be made securely and efficiently through the “Paymir” digital payment system. This initiative aligns with the broader FinTech strategy aimed at modernizing governance and improving citizen access to essential services in the province.
The automation of the arms license management system has already yielded significant results, including:
- Total Revenue Collected: Rs. 1.9 billion
- Revenue in Process: Rs. 345 million
- Total Vouchers Generated: 203,998
- Total Applications Received: 474,560
This move by KP home department marks a significant step forward in public service delivery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, offering greater convenience and efficiency for citizens seeking arms licenses.
