Islamabad, Aug 5: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment & Trade (KP-BoIT) are working together to host an Expo and Economic Development Conference in Chitral. The purpose of the event is to showcase the local trading and economic sectors and entice investors to invest in the valley’s potential areas.
The proposed conference is scheduled to take place in the first week of September this year. Approximately sixty booths pertaining to appealing investment sectors will be set up, with a focus on critical investment sectors and local prospective production sectors.
With Abdul Karim Khan Tordher, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Industries, Commerce, and Technical Education of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, presiding over the meeting, it was held in this regard at the KP-BoIT.
Along with the above, attendees included the Provincial Chief Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), Sartaj Ahmad Khan, President of the Chitral Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI), Director General (DG) of TDAP Nauman Bashir, Director Business Facilitation (KP-BoIT) Iqbal Sarwar, Chairman of the All Pakistan Exporters Association (APCEA) Minhajuddin, and representatives from the KP Economic Zones Development and Management Company (EZDMC), Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), Technical & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Bank of Khyber (BoK), Irrigation, Communication & Works (C&W), and Mineral Department.
In addition to providing the participants with an overview of the goals and objectives of the Chitral Expo & Conference, DG TDAP informed them that investors from all major cities would also be invited to the event, along with higher authorities from the federal and provincial governments.
