Islamabad, Aug 3, 2025: In a major step toward digital governance, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a new online traffic challan payment system aimed at simplifying fine payments for citizens. The initiative, announced by Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Science and Information Technology, marks a vital shift in modernizing public services.

The online traffic challan payment system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa allows residents to pay their fines electronically, eliminating the need to stand in long queues or visit traffic offices. Citizens can now process payments swiftly from their mobile phones or computers, making the experience more efficient and user-friendly.

Dr. Ayaz emphasized that the system is not only about convenience but also about ensuring transparency and reducing human involvement in financial transactions. “This digital platform will enhance efficiency, save time, and reduce opportunities for corruption,” he said.

He added that the new system is a step forward in strengthening e-governance across the province. By automating fine collections, the government aims to increase revenue collection while providing hassle-free services to the public.
