Islamabad, Sep 17: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and the KP Excise Department have unveiled the Motor Vehicle Registration System and Universal Number Plate System, a key initiative under Vision 2030, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
This system, developed by KPITB in just two months, digitizes existing processes to bring motor vehicle services directly to citizens.

Unique Registration Number and Universal Number Plate: Obtain and register these crucial identifiers for your vehicle.
Vehicle Registration and Number Plate Application: Register new vehicles and apply for Universal Number Plates.
Token Tax Details: View and pay token tax online.
Registration for Vehicles from Other Provinces: Facilitate the registration of vehicles originally registered in different provinces.
NADRA Verification Integration: Integrate with NADRA for identity verification.
Online Payments: Make payments seamlessly via Paymir using any bank or digital wallet.
Additional Features:
Vehicle Ownership Transfers: Transfer ownership of vehicles efficiently.
Vehicle Amendments: Update vehicle attributes and owner details.
Auctioned Vehicles: Register auctioned vehicles and transfer registration numbers.
Centralized Database: Prevent duplicate registrations with a unified vehicle database.
From October 1st, citizens will be able to access these services online through the Dastak application, further enhancing convenience. This system promises to revolutionize motor vehicle services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by ensuring greater efficiency, transparency, and ease of access for all residents.
