KP Police is actively pursuing those who post obscene and immoral information online under the directive of DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi. Most recently, Tik Tok creator Basit Ali was detained by Mardan Tehka Police Station, due to displaying firearms and uploading indecent videos. Criminal charges against him are underway, and police are warning that such material can be very permanent.

The suspect told that the videos were created solely as a source of entertainment, but now he has to suffer serious consequences, such as he was registered on the list of FIR, could not go to another country and could not get employment and educational permission.

According to the officials, improper use of social media can easily ruin the professional and personal reputation. KP Police asked its citizens to take positive interactions online and emphasized a lack of compliance would be severely punished through legal measures.
