Islamabad, Feb 6: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to reschedule the annual matriculation and intermediate exams, originally planned for March and April, to accommodate the holy month of Ramadan.
As per the revised timetable, matric exams, which were set to begin on March 5, will now commence on April 8. The decision was taken following directives from the provincial authorities and was confirmed by Peshawar Board Chairman, Nasrullah Khan.
“The exams will now start on April 8, and an official notification will be issued after this week’s meeting of all board chairmen,” Khan stated.

Similarly, intermediate exams that were initially planned for April 10 have been postponed to May 7. The primary reason behind this adjustment is to ensure that students and teachers do not face difficulties while fasting during Ramadan.
The government’s decision aims to create a more favorable environment for students, allowing them to focus on their studies without the added challenge of fasting. By shifting the exam schedule, authorities hope to enhance students’ performance and ensure a smooth examination process.
