Islamabad, Feb 28: King Salman Relief Center, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has successfully completed the first phase of its food distribution program in Pakistan, delivering 30,000 food packages across 28 districts. This initiative is aimed at alleviating food insecurity and providing essential support to vulnerable communities living below the poverty line.
Each food package, weighing 95 kilograms, contains 80 kilograms of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, and 5 kilograms of chickpeas, ensuring balanced nutrition for families in need. The distribution process was conducted transparently under the supervision of King Salman Relief Center, in coordination with NDMA, Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), local district administrations, and partner organizations including the Hayat Foundation and PADO.
This large-scale humanitarian effort underscores King Salman Relief Center’s ongoing commitment to improving the welfare of underprivileged households in Pakistan. By addressing immediate food shortages, the initiative not only provides relief to struggling families but also reinforces the strong ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in times of need.
