Islamabad, Aug 4, 2025: In a significant move to reform the immigration system in Pakistan, the government has launched practical measures to ease the travel experience for both foreign visitors and returning nationals. Acting on the special instructions of the Prime Minister, authorities have upgraded immigration services at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
New immigration counters have been installed to ensure faster processing, reduce delays, and enhance efficiency. These counters are specifically designed to accommodate international passengers, including business leaders and foreign investors visiting Pakistan.
A senior official from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed that this reform is a strategic step to attract global business, promote tourism, and create a welcoming environment for overseas Pakistanis. With an eye on improving the country’s international image, the new system promises smoother entry and exit procedures for all travelers.
This development is expected to boost trade, drive foreign investment, and increase tourist footfall in Pakistan. As the reformed immigration system in Pakistan takes effect, the government remains committed to providing modern and traveler-friendly services at all major airports.
