Inspired by Secretary Lahore Board Rizwan Nazir, who previously implemented barcodes on certificates, result cards, and roll number slips, this move aims to tackle issues such as the influence of the “booti mafia” and reduce malpractice in the examination system. The barcoding system will ensure a more secure and streamlined process for students and educational institutions alike.

Looking ahead, BISE Lahore plans to extend this initiative by introducing barcodes on roll number slips for both Matriculation and Intermediate exams by 2025, further bolstering the integrity of the examination system and bringing greater accountability.
