Islamabad, June 10, 2025: Lahore sweltered under intense heat on the third day of Eid-ul-Adha 2025, with temperatures soaring to a blistering 46 degrees Celsius—one of the city’s highest in nearly 20 years. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), this is the most extreme heat Lahore has experienced since 2007, when mercury levels hit a staggering 48°C at the airport.

This year’s heatwave in Pakistan has pushed multiple regions to the brink, with Lahore weather conditions being particularly alarming. Experts warn the oppressive temperatures are likely to continue throughout the first half of June, offering little immediate relief.

The extreme heat isn’t just affecting Lahore. Cities across Pakistan are enduring dangerously high temperatures. Forecasts reveal that Islamabad and Peshawar are bracing for highs of 44°C, Quetta reached 36°C, while Karachi weather held slightly lower at 34°C.
