Islamabad, July 6, 2025: A private airline’s flight heading to Skardu had to make an emergency landing right after takeoff from Lahore on Sunday morning due to a bird strike.

As per the airline’s spokesperson, Flight PA-481 was hit by a bird during takeoff from Lahore, after which the pilot decided to turn back and safely landed the plane at Lahore airport.

The airline stated that all 149 passengers were safely taken off the plane after the emergency landing.

The flight to Skardu has now been cancelled along with the return flight from Skardu to Lahore, the spokesperson said.

Reports say the bird strike caused damage to two blades of engine number 2, forcing the cancellation of the flight for technical checks and safety measures.
