Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: The Punjab government has approved the construction of six underground parking plazas in Lahore inner city, with a total estimated cost of Rs. 31.5 billion. These modern parking facilities aim to ease traffic congestion and resolve long-standing parking issues in the historic areas.

According to official figures, the Mochi Gate Underground Parking Plaza will cost Rs. 5.2 billion, while Sheran Wala Gate Parking Plaza is set at Rs. 8 billion. The Taxili Gate project will require Rs. 5.2 billion, and the Delhi Gate Underground Parking Plaza is budgeted at Rs. 6 billion.

In addition, Bhati Gate will have a Rs. 2 billion facility, and Shah Alam Gate will feature a Rs. 5.2 billion plaza.

The projects will be carried out by the C&W Department, with the goal of improving traffic flow and providing organized parking solutions in Lahore’s inner city.
