Islamabad, Aug 8: Teams from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) are still working to stop unlicensed business use, unlawful building, and commercial fee defaulters. Due to non-payment of commercial rates, LDA officials shut 25 properties on Wednesday in Blocks A, B, C, G, E, F, M, and the Gulshan Ravi Civic Center.
Town Planning Zone II sealed 22 homes in different Mustafa Town and Allama Iqbal Town blocks as part of another operation. Millions of rupees in unpaid commercialization fees were owed by these properties, which include private schools, marriage halls, offices, pharmacies, academies, shops, and clinics.
Director Town Planning Zone One Ayesha Matahir, Director Town Planning Zone Two, and Chief Town Planner One Asad Zaman oversaw the operation.Prior to the operation, these properties had received many notifications. As directed by DG LDA Tahir Farooq, there are continuing actions taking place around the city against unlawful buildings and commercial fee defaulters.
