Islamabad, Nov 27: Leading Global Universities to Establish Campuses at Lahore IT Park. A Tier-4 data center will be established in Pakistan in partnership with China, according to approval from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The Chief Minister emphasized the Central Business District’s (CBD) Nawaz Sharif IT City project’s importance as a center for education and technology development while presiding over a special meeting to assess its progress. Universities from China, England, and other nations are preparing to open campuses in the Nawaz Sharif IT City, it was disclosed at the conference.
This project will involve the campuses of the Tang, Xurt, and Baifang Institute of Vocational Education. Imperial College London and Buckinghamshire University have both indicated interest in establishing campuses in the IT hub.
Additionally, in partnership with foreign institutions, an Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology University will be founded. The Chief Minister gave the CBD instructions to move quickly to establish campuses and draw more foreign universities to the Nawaz Sharif IT City.
She further stressed the need of speedy progress on this flagship project and gave all stakeholders instructions to give the Nawaz Sharif IT City Twin Towers’ completion top priority.
