The good times are behind us. The subcompact crossover SUV Kia Stonic was previously priced at Rs. 4,767,000; however, Kia Pakistan has raised the price by Rs. 733,000 to Rs. 5,550,000. The car was originally priced at Rs. 6,280,000 ex-factory.
It is important to note that the corporation shocked the automobile industry in April 2024 when it revealed a significant Rs. 1,500,000 price reduction for Stonic. Those who paid more than Rs. 6 million for the vehicle were shocked, while those who paid less than Rs. 4 million were not as much.
Booking for a Kia Stonic:
Kia Pakistan said in a statement that it has received a resounding reaction from clients for the temporary 5-year celebration. The firm stated, “We had to temporarily suspend the booking due to more than expected demand as we wanted to have clarity on the stock situation.”
But reservations for the Kia Stonic EX+ are once again open. According to the business:
>All reservations will be accepted starting on July 1, 2024, for delivery in December 2024 and beyond.
>Reservations can only be approved with a Rs. 2.5 million down payment.
>Orders with partial payment scheduled for delivery in December 2024 and January 2025 will be subject to a price lock.
>Any devaluation of PKR versus USD (2% over the current prevailing rate) would affect the price lock, and the buyer will be responsible for paying any additional import duties, taxes, or levies imposed by the federal or provincial governments at the time of delivery.
It would be fascinating to observe if customers choose the Stonic despite its higher price or if the Suzuki Swift, whose top variants are still priced at Rs. 4,719,000, will pose a serious threat. With Suzuki Pakistan being forced to follow suit due to Stonic’s recent price cut, it would be interesting to watch the rivalry. This is excellent news for those who have been waiting to reserve a Kia Stonic, especially since there is a price lock offer.
