The Kasur district administration has declared a local holiday on Saturday, August 23, to mark the 268th Urs of Sufi poet Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA).
An official notification confirmed that government offices, schools, and other departments across the district will stay closed on this day.
The three-day Urs celebrations will begin on August 22 and continue until August 24. Thousands of devotees from different parts of Pakistan are expected to gather in Kasur for the annual spiritual event. The programs will include Quran recitation, Sufi poetry, and traditional rituals linked with Baba Bulleh Shah’s teachings.

The Urs of Baba Bulleh Shah is considered one of the most important cultural and religious events in Punjab, attracting large numbers of visitors every year.
