Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: In London Spirit vs Trent Rockets, the host team won the second match of The Hundred to beat their opponents by 21 runs at Lord. England keeper Jamie Smith hit an excellent half-century but the home side scrambled to 162-5 as Joe Roots Rockets were outmuscled in putting up a challenge.

This was the end of Smith as he was caught by Root after delivering the 52 runs on the ball of Sam Cook. Captain Kane Williamson was there to put in a brisk 45 and Ollie Pope and Ashton Turner came together to add to important runs too keep the score board moving.

To that, the openers Tom Banton and Root scored their 73 runs in the first wicket partnership but the others were unable to gain further momentum, except Marcus Stoinis who hit four sixes. The cameo of Stoinis was over in a flash and Tom Alsop left with an injury to the nose after a bouncer by Jamie Overton hit him there.

Rockets debutant David Warner had featured only six when he was bowled by Lockie Ferguson. In conclusion, the match between London Spirit and Trent Rockets saw the former in a more advantageous position having completed their inning on 141-6, much below the target score and continuing on towards an admirable win by its opponents.
