Lahore Waste Management Authority (LWMA) teams were staying vigilant in the large city hotspots on Saturday as per the instructions of the CEO Babar Sahib Din. The sanitation teams were deployed at strategic spots inside the city such as Jail Road, Mall Road, Data Darbar, Circular Road, Aik Moria Pull, Do Moria Pull, McLeod Road in order to ensure smooth cleaning activities during the city’s recent rainfall.

Other teams targeted major commercial and market locations including Lakshmi Chowk, Shadman Market, Gulberg, Barkat Market, the Chamber of Commerce, Beadon Road Bazar and Temple Road. Over 6,000 waste bins were emptied on a regular basis thus maintaining constant sanitation even during the heavy downpours.

CEO Babar Sahib Din established that keeping Lahore clean is a priority and any failure to do so will not go well. LWMA proactive deployment strategy does not only ensure streets are kept hygienic, but also serves the commercial areas of the city, which ensures a better environment to both businesses and residents.

As part of the continuing waste management, the Lahore Waste Management Authority will be able to provide its ongoing service, thus supporting its own desire to stop pollution of the urban environment and develop a clean and prosperous one.
