Islamabad, JULY27: All vehicles on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11) must have an M-Tag in order to be able to access the road.
According to specifics, this new rule was published by the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) in order to improve traffic flow efficiency and expedite toll collection on this important route. Commuters can enjoy a smooth experience using the M-Tag system, an electronic toll collecting method that deducts toll money automatically from a prepaid account connected to the vehicle’s registration. This greatly reduces traffic and traveler wait times at toll plazas by doing away with the requirement for cash transactions.
How Are M-Tags Obtained?
Owners of vehicles can get an M-Tag at toll booths or authorized service shops. The procedure entails creating a prepaid account that may be topped off as needed and tying the tag to the car’s registration. For individuals who are not familiar with the process, the NHMP has set up a helpline at 1313 for support and additional information.
