Islamaad, Dec 10: Thick fog has caused major disruptions to road travel in Punjab, leading to the closure of Motorway M-2 between Babu Sabu Interchange and Thokar Niaz Baig for all types of traffic. The Motorway Police announced the closure due to extremely low visibility, which poses significant risks to drivers’ safety.
The Motorway Police have advised motorists to avoid traveling during early hours and to plan their journeys between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. when visibility improves. Drivers are urged to use both front and back lights and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles while traveling in foggy conditions.
Authorities have emphasized the importance of following safety guidelines and encouraged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel. In case of emergencies, individuals are urged to contact the Motorway Police Helpline at 130 for assistance.
