The federal government has appointed Major General Abu Bakar Shahbaz as the Additional Secretary of the Defence Production Division (BS-21).
The appointment is on a secondment/deputation basis for a period of three years, effective from the date of his assumption of charge and will continue until further orders.
Before this, a serving Major General had already been appointed in the Ministry of Interior.
