Islamabad, Aug 4: Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, the two nations have excellent bilateral relations that have developed in many areas since their independence.
Malaysia places a high importance on these ties. Speaking at the 67th Malaysian National Day ceremony held here on Wednesday, the High Commissioner stated, “Today, on Malaysia’s Independence Day, I would like to express that the strategic partnership established between Malaysia and Pakistan, which affects the all sectors of economy and including trade in every sector.”
“Malaysia’s’strategic partnership’ with Pakistan holds immense potential,” he declared. “We are committed to further strengthening our brotherly ties, particularly in areas like trade, investment, and technological collaboration.” Malaysia and Pakistan have a deep-rooted bond. According to the High Commissioner, there was $1.8 billion in bilateral commerce between Malaysia and Pakistan, making Malaysia the country’s third-largest economic partner.
He stated that there were a ton of chances for Pakistan and Malaysia to work together in the halal industry, green technology, energy, tourism, education, and industry and trade.He stated that this year’s celebration, which had as its subject “Malaysia MADANI: Jiwa Merdeka,” emphasized the spirit of unity among all societal groups and reflected the holistic unity of a developed and progressive country that protects its diverse citizenry and promotes a common sense of national identity.
It is not only a celebration; rather, it is a representation of the resolve throughout the nationhood path that has given Malaysia the strength she possesses today. This event not only marked the birth of a new country but also set the stage for Sabah and Sarawak’s unification with the federation in 1963, which resulted in the Federation of Malaysia. Through our shared experiences and hardships, we have strengthened our bond as a country.
In addition to commemorating our 67 years of independence, we also need to acknowledge the tremendous progress Malaysia has made in creating a robust and dynamic economy. With a diversified economy that includes industries like manufacturing, technologies as well as services.

He stated that “the Malaysian identity remains rooted in the values of unity, tolerance, and mutual respect, reflecting a nation that has learned to embrace its multiculturalism as an enduring strength.”The High Commissioner stated: “Every year on August 31, Malaysians from all backgrounds come together to celebrate the National Day, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.
Commemorating the day this great country, on this very day in 1957, became independent. He declared that today was a day for us to pay tribute to their memory by keeping the unity, tolerance, and respect that they held dear for Malaysia.
He stated that on the eve of that momentous day, Malaysians gathered together at the Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur to watch the British Union Jack being lowered and our flag.
