ISLAMABAD JULY27: After receiving a bill from LESCO for 126 electrical units totaling Rs. 143,000, a resident of Lahore filed a lawsuit against the company with the Lahore High Court.
The DG of the FIA and the CEO of LESCO are included as respondents in the petition. The petitioner claims that despite many attempts to rectify the situation, LESCO authorities issued a charge of Rs. 143,000 for 126 units and failed to do so.
According to the petitioner, there are a lot of people in the vicinity that steal energy. As a result, LESCO unfairly transfers the weight of line losses and other damages on customers who consistently pay their bills by recovering these losses from them. The petitioner has asked the Lahore High Court to provide LESCO representatives instructions on how to handle and resolve the billing problem.
