Islamabad 28 July: The district administration has made it compulsory for all private clinic doctors to complete an anti-dengue refresher course, warning that clinics will be sealed for non-compliance.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema announced the measure while chairing an anti-dengue review meeting. He directed private practitioners to immediately enroll in the District Health Authority’s training program, stressing that healthcare providers must demonstrate heightened vigilance during epidemics.
District Emergency Coordinator Dr. Sajjad Ahmed reported that 821 clinics had been inspected, with 57 sealed for protocol violations. The DC warned departments against laxity in dengue control efforts.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for the “Suthra Punjab” cleanliness drive and Chehlum security arrangements.
