Islamabad, 11 Apr, 2025: March 2025 Auto Sales Reveal Mixed Trends Passenger Cars Rise, Tractors Drop Sharply.
The Pakistani automotive market experienced a nuanced performance in March 2025, recording a total of 13,096 vehicle sales marking an 8% annual decline and a 7% dip compared to February 2025.
Passenger Cars and Light Commercial Vehicles (PCs + LCVs) led the momentum, totaling 11,098 units, reflecting an 18% year-over-year surge and a 46% rise on a monthly basis.

Indus Motor Company (INDU) emerged as a standout, posting a 84% YoY boost to 3,131 units. Corolla, Cross, and Yaris dominated with 2,378 units, while Fortuner and Hilux sales soared 377% YoY to 753 units.
Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) witnessed a steep annual decline of 35%, with sales slipping to 1,428 units. City and Civic dropped 40% to 1,195 units, while BR-V and HR-V models fell to 233 units a 6% annual dip.
Pak Suzuki Motor Company displayed positive growth, improving 11% YoY to 4,538 units despite a 15% monthly contraction.
The Alto led the charge with 3,090 units sold (6% YoY growth), while the Swift posted an extraordinary 323% yearly increase. Ravi and Every models also performed well, showing 125% and notable unlisted growth, respectively.
Hyundai Nishat recorded 592 sales, an impressive 74% increase from March last year. Elantra sales jumped 130%, Tuscon rose 35%, and Sonata climbed 44%.
Despite these gains, Hyundai’s total remained slightly lower than February’s 1,052 units.
SAZEW, with 943 units sold, witnessed an 87% YoY improvement. The Sazgar Haval model contributed significantly with 940 units, while BAIC BJ40L added 3 units.
Tractor sales plummeted dramatically by 67% YoY to 1,538 units. AGTL and MTL declined by 62% and 69% respectively, reflecting the agricultural sector’s challenges.

Truck segment posted a 29% annual increase with 353 units sold. HINO led with 99 trucks (289% YoY rise), followed by Master at 115 units (33% growth). Isuzu GHNI’s truck sales doubled to 193 units.
Bus sales witnessed a strong rebound, registering a 174% annual gain to 107 units. HINO and Isuzu GHNI contributed substantially, rising 233% and 688% respectively.
On a cumulative basis March 2025 Auto Sales, total vehicle sales for the first nine months of FY25 reached 127,463 units, up 20% from the same period last year reflecting cautious recovery despite sector-specific fluctuations.
