Islamabad, July 9, 2025: The Government of Pakistan has officially declared ‘Marka-i-Haq’ as the Independence Day 2025 theme, highlighting unity, resilience, and the nation’s unwavering stance on sovereignty.
The announcement came during a high-level meeting led by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, who emphasized that recent events have shown Pakistan’s strength as a peaceful yet determined state. He called for all institutions to celebrate the progress made in governance, economy, innovation, and diplomatic achievements.
“Pakistan has entered a new era where the government, armed forces, and citizens stand united,” said Iqbal. He urged for national celebrations that reflect this spirit of solidarity and commitment.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed the resolve of the nation against external threats. “Our civil and military leadership is united in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty,” he stated, adding that no challenge can shake national unity.

Information Minister Ataullah Tarar announced a wide range of activities to mark the celebrations. These include national songs, poetry events, documentaries, cultural fairs, and global embassy programs to engage both local and overseas Pakistanis.

The meeting ended with a unified call to celebrate Independence Day 2025 under one banner, one message: ‘Marka-i-Haq’ — the battle for truth and national dignity.
