Islamabad, July 1, 2025: Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts’, now renamed as ‘The New Avengers’, is finally making its way to OTT platforms, two months following its cinema debut.
The film centered around the emergence of the New Avengers, premiered in cinemas on May 2, 2025, and has already earned USD 381.7 million globally. Now, viewers can catch the action-packed film at home starting July 1 on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango.
The story of Thunderbolts revolves around a group of outcasts, featuring Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour playing Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, and Hannah John-Kamen portraying Ghost. They unite as the Thunderbolts to confront Lewis Pullman’s Sentry.

Together, they form an unstoppable unit, battling The Void — the sinister alter ego of Sentry — who threatens to wipe out everything good in existence.
Directed by Jake Schreier with a script written by Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo, the movie also includes performances by Olga Kurylenko, Wendell Pierce, and Chris Bauer. The post-credits tease introduces The Fantastic Four: First Steps, setting the tone for the next Marvel phase, while the Thunderbolts, now being referred to as the ‘New Avengers’, feel uneasy about their status in the superhero arena.
Made with a production cost of USD 180 million, Thunderbolts attracted a loyal fanbase appreciative of the MCU’s shift in storytelling style.
