Islamabad, May 18, 2025: The weather in Islamabad turned pleasant late Sunday with a sudden burst of rain. However, the light rain quickly intensified, leading to significant disruptions in different parts of the city.
A brief but strong windstorm accompanied the downpour, causing trees to sway and fall in some areas.
Roads experienced waterlogging, which disturbed traffic flow and led to jams at key intersections.

The combined effect of heavy rain and powerful winds also resulted in widespread power outages across the city.
