A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Master Motor Corporation and Yutong Bus Company to create a joint venture company and produce and assemble Yutong’s New Energy City Buses domestically in Pakistan.
Yutong Master will become the nation’s first and sole manufacturer of city buses by establishing a brand-new greenfield plant for the business. The goal of Yutong’s New Energy City Buses, which come with electric and hybrid drivetrain options, is to help government initiatives to modernize Pakistan’s transportation infrastructure while also meeting the needs of public transit.
On June 5, 2024, during Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to China, Huang Yuanchao of Yutong and Danial Malik, Director of Master Motor, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of the conference was to promote new business ventures and boost Pakistan’s economy.
