Islamabad, Sep 5: Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank and Mastercard, have announced the renewal of their strategic partnership.
Through the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by J. K. Khalil, Regional President of Mastercard, and Syed Amir Ali, Deputy CEO of Meezan Bank, this collaboration aims to improve Meezan Bank’s debit card portfolio and revolutionize the banking experience for its customers throughout Pakistan.
Senior representatives from both organizations were also present, including Syed Iftikhar ul Haq, Group Head of Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, and President & CEO of Meezan Bank Irfan Siddiqui.
Meezan Bank, which has the fastest-growing portfolio of Mastercard-powered debit cards, will increase the number of premium cards it offers as part of this renewed partnership.
The development strengthens the long-standing partnership between the parties, which was recently marked by Meezan Bank hosting Pakistan’s first-ever cyber security training hosted by Mastercard and the introduction of Mastercard’s new cybersecurity service in the country.
We are happy to establish this strategic partnership, which expands on our long-standing partnership and is expected to fortify the nation’s payment solutions infrastructure even more.
“Together, we aim to deliver Shariah-compliant debit card products that are secure, convenient, and will significantly improve the customer experience,” he continued.
Mastercard is dedicated to enabling our partners by providing them with cutting-edge financial products and services that foster convenience, trust, and confidence.
