Islamabad, July 9, 2025: The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has rolled out a special installment plan to help farmers clear long-standing tube well electricity dues, some pending since 2015.
Under the new MEPCO installment plan, agricultural consumers with outstanding bills up to Rs. 1 million can now pay in 30 monthly installments. For those with dues between Rs. 1 million to Rs. 3 million, the period is extended to 40 months. If the amount exceeds Rs. 3 million, MEPCO will assess it on a case-by-case basis.
Disconnected connections can be restored by paying just 10% of the total outstanding dues upfront along with standard Reconnection Order (RCO) charges.
However, MEPCO clarified that monthly markup will apply to all installments, and missing a single payment will terminate the facility.
