Islamabad, May 5, 2025: New York City will host the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, uniting stars from fashion, film, music, and sport for the Costume Institute’s top fundraiser.
This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, focuses on the influence of Black fashion and menswear across history.
Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s acclaimed book Slaves to Fashion, the accompanying exhibition highlights Black dandyism and its cultural significance from the 18th century to today.
For the first time in more than two decades, the Met Gala will centre exclusively on menswear, with the dress code titled “Tailored for You”.

Committee members include Usher, who recently said the focus on Black menswear was “timely” and deserving of celebration.
Joining them on the host committee are leading figures such as Spike Lee, Simone Biles, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Janelle Monáe and Tyla.
