Islamabad, 16 May, 2025: A Mexican influencer, Valeria Marquez is shot dead live-streaming after a man posing as a gift courier arrived on a motorbike and opened fire, authorities have confirmed.
Valeria Marquez, 23, was killed in her Blossom the Beauty Lounge salon in Jalisco, Mexico, on Tuesday, El Imparcial reported.
The influencer had nearly 200,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram, took a bullet to her chest and head.

She was mid-live stream when the gunman suddenly pulled up outside the salon on a motorbike and opened fire.
Viewers watching the live stream said they witnessed Marquez clutch her ribcage in pain before she suddenly collapsed.
The gunman then apparently entered the salon and fired another shot, and then fled the scene.

Marquez, who was known as beauty and lifestyle influencer, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just hours before the incident, Marquez had shared a selfie of her on Instagram Story.
Police said they are still trying to track down the gunman.
