British car manufacturer MG has inaugurated its flagship dealership in Islamabad, marking a key milestone for Pakistan’s automobile sector and reflecting renewed investor confidence in the country’s industrial landscape.

According to a press release, Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani inaugurated the new facility, describing it as a step toward innovation, investment, and sustainable growth. He said MG’s expansion in Pakistan demonstrates the country’s potential in technology, manufacturing, and youth-driven economic progress.

Gilani noted that MG quickly earned the trust of local consumers in a market long dominated by a few players. He added that continued investment by global automakers like MG will promote technology transfer, enhance quality standards, and strengthen the local auto ecosystem.

The Acting President said projects such as MG’s dealership will create jobs, encourage industrial partnerships, and support local suppliers and engineers, contributing to long-term economic stability.
