Islamabad, Feb 26: Microsoft has expanded access to its Copilot AI assistant by eliminating subscription fees for two major features: Voice and Think Deeper. This means all users can now utilize these advanced capabilities without any cost restrictions.
The Voice feature, first introduced in October 2024, enables users to interact with Copilot through natural, conversational speech. Meanwhile, the Think Deeper function leverages OpenAI’s o1 model to process complex inquiries. For instance, it can help users assess the pros and cons of major purchases, factoring in both short-term expenses and long-term value.
Microsoft’s Commitment to Accessibility
In an official blog post, Microsoft emphasized its commitment to expanding access, stating:
“We are working diligently to offer unlimited use of these advanced tools to as many users as possible, as quickly as possible.”
However, Microsoft cautioned that with the removal of payment barriers, users may experience performance fluctuations, particularly during peak usage periods. Temporary slowdowns or interruptions could occur when demand is high.

Copilot Pro Subscribers Still Enjoy Premium Perks
While these features are now free for all users, Copilot Pro subscribers will continue to receive priority access to Microsoft’s most advanced AI models, ensuring smoother performance even during heavy traffic periods. Additionally, paying users will retain exclusive early access to experimental AI capabilities still in development.
This approach allows Microsoft to broaden AI accessibility while maintaining an incentive structure for premium users. By striking a balance between free and paid service tiers, the company ensures both mass adoption and continued innovation within Copilot AI.
