Flood conditions persist in Punjab, submerging hundreds of villages in Shujaabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Ahmadpur East, Rajanpur, and Vehari.

According to the Federal Flood Commission, a very high-level flood is occurring at Panjnad Barrage in the River Chenab, while a very high-level flood is forecast at Guddu Barrage in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Multan Faces Flood Crisis
Multan is facing a flood situation from the River Chenab, with dozens of settlements in Head Muhammadwala and Sher Shah still under deep water. In Shujaabad and Jalalpur Pirwala, millions have been displaced.

Hundreds of Houses Swept Away in Chachran
In Chachran, hundreds of houses were washed away, thousands of acres of crops destroyed, and link roads submerged.

Dam Breaks in Sadiqabad
At Nabi Shah in Sadiqabad, the Zamindara embankment broke, allowing floodwaters to enter populated areas. Flood waves in Shujaabad are also causing destruction, increasing the hardships of victims. The breach in the Dhondo embankment has widened to 240 feet.

Jalalpur Pirwala and Uch Sharif Submerged
Flood conditions persist in Jalalpur Pirwala, while many areas of Sher Shah are also underwater. Riverine areas of Uch Sharif are flooded, and rescue operations continued late into the night in submerged villages.

Thousands Forced to Flee in Rajanpur
In Rajanpur, floods in the riverine belt forced thousands to leave their homes. Areas including Rojhan, Bangla Ocha, Sonmiani, and Kot Mithan have been affected.

According to the administration, 110,000 people and over 100,000 livestock have been relocated. Flood relief camps have been set up in affected areas, while rescue operations continue using drones to evacuate stranded people. On the other hand, inflow in the Indus River at Kot Mithan, Rajanpur, and Chachran Sharif has slightly reduced, lowering the water level to 11.5 feet.

The River Chenab is also witnessing a decrease in flow at Head Panjnad.

Decrease in Flow at Ravi’s Head Sadhnai
Meanwhile, the Sutlej River is experiencing medium-level flooding at Ganda Singh Wala and Head Islam, while low-level flooding is seen at Head Sulaimanki. The Ravi River has recorded a decrease in water flow at Head Sadhnai.

Food Shortage in Arifwala
Flooding from the Sutlej River has devastated Arifwala, destroying crops and homes, causing food shortages. Victims, awaiting the receding of water to return home, are relying on government financial support.

Floodwater Enters Jalalpur Pirwala City
Floodwater from the Sutlej entered Jalalpur Pirwala city after a tunnel on Uch Sharif Road was opened, submerging several acres of land. Residents, with self-help, used heavy wood and soil to close the tunnel.
