Islamabad, May 20, 2025: Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat on Tuesday announced that summer vacations across Punjab schools will began on May 28.
The announcement is made in an immediate response to the intensifying heatwave gripping the province as Hayat cited the government’s concern for the safety and well-being of students and staff.

Moreover, to take instant measures, the education minister also announced an immediate change in school timings, effective from tomorrow, May 21.
The new school timings will be from 7:30am to 11:30am.
In a social media post on X, Hatat announced “New School Timings = 7 30 am to 11 30 am, School Holidays Start from The 28th of May (28th will be a Holiday).”

While announcing the date of summer holidays, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar also made it official that May 28 will be observed as a public holiday.
Earlier, it was announced that summer vacations in schools are scheduled from June 1 till August 9.
