Islamabad, Apr 7, 2025: In a significant development, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf announced that 90,000 pilgrims are expected to visit the holy land under the government’s scheme for Haj 2025.
Preparations for the Haj flight operations are progressing smoothly, with flights slated to begin on April 29, 2025.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, the minister revealed that crucial preparations such as vaccinations and training sessions are in full swing.

Haj training will commence on April 8, where pilgrims will be briefed on essential health protocols and vaccination requirements to ensure a safe journey.
The Haj package costs have been set at Rs1,150,000 for short-term pilgrims and Rs1,050,000 for long-term pilgrims, offering various options for travelers.
Yousuf also shared that he had met with Saudi officials to review the arrangements, ensuring everything is in place for the pilgrimage season.
In light of these preparations, the minister clarified that Saudi Arabia typically suspends Umrah visas ahead of Haj to facilitate a smooth pilgrimage.

Sources indicated that a temporary visa ban has been imposed on 14 countries, including Pakistan, affecting Umrah, business, and family visas.
However, the restrictions are expected to lift around mid-June.
The seamless operations and coordinated efforts aim to ensure a safe and organized pilgrimage experience for the thousands of pilgrims heading to the holy land in 2025.
