Mobile internet services in Quetta have been suspended for 24 hours due to security concerns, officials confirmed late Thursday night. The move, recommended by the Balochistan Home Department, took effect at midnight and will stay in force for an entire day.

According to authorities, the step was necessary to maintain peace and ensure that law enforcement agencies can manage the situation effectively. The suspension covers the entire Quetta district, affecting all mobile network operators.

Officials said the decision was made after a detailed review of the city’s security situation. They added that such preventive actions are temporary but crucial to prevent any possible unrest or disturbance in the provincial capital.
