Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: The mobile internet suspension in Balochistan over security concerns has brought Quetta’s online food delivery sector to a near halt, putting the livelihoods of more than 1,000 workers in danger.

Authorities blocked 3G and 4G services from August 6 to August 31 as part of security precautions. Those employed in the online delivery business say the extended disruption has completely stalled their operations, leaving them without a source of income.

They have appealed to the government to restore mobile internet services without delay, stressing that the move would help ease their financial struggles and revive the city’s delivery network.
