Islamabad, Mar 11 2025: Pakistan newly appointed batting coach Mohammad Yousuf has withdrawn from the national men team for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.
Yousuf, who was appointed on March 4, informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of his decision to step down from the tour due to his daughter’s illness.
The former cricketer expressed his inability to travel with the Men in Green to New Zealand and fulfill his duties as batting coach at this time.
Despite his absence, the PCB has not yet named a replacement for the batting coach position. The T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand is set to begin on March 16, 2024, in Christchurch.
The series will be followed by a three-match ODI series, with the first ODI scheduled in Napier on March 29.
