Islamabad, Sep 12: During the first two months of the current fiscal year (2024–25), sales of motorcycles and three-wheelers in the nation increased by 16.87 percent as compared to the same months previous year.
According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), 189,227 motorcycles and three-wheelers were sold during the review period, compared to 161,906 units sold in July and August of 2023–2024.
In the months under examination, sales of Suzuki motorcycles increased by 32.47 percent, from 2,679 units to 3,549 units, while sales of Honda bikes increased by 17.25 percent, from 137,083 units to 160,738 units.
There was a 12.25% increase in United Auto motorcycle sales from 14,832 units to 16,649 units. On the other hand, sales of Road Prince motorcycles dropped to 2,649 units from 2,698 units, while sales of Yamaha motorcycles saw a 60.30 percent dip to 645 units from 1,625 units.
In the meantime, sales of three-wheelers from United Auto went from 125 to 161 units, and sales of three-wheelers from Qingqi increased from 921 to 1,296 units, a 40.71 percent rise.The report also showed that the number of Sazgar three-wheelers sold increased by 76.59 percent, from 1,850 to 3,267 units.
