A travel warning was issued by motorway authorities on Saturday, advising drivers to take extra precautions due to dangerous conditions, with a recommendation for citizens to delay non-essential travel until further notice as the fog and smog situation evolves.
The motorway police spokesperson, speaking to a private news channel, encouraged citizens to check traffic updates prior to starting their journeys and to follow official social media accounts for real-time information. They also mentioned that emergency services are on high alert and collaborating closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safe and smooth movement of traffic.
Furthermore, motorway authorities have established emergency response teams at key locations to assist travelers, the spokesperson noted.The spokesperson urged citizens to cooperate with authorities and to report any suspicious activities or incidents to the Motorway Police helpline.
