ISLAMABAD, June 3, 2025: Vehicles who do not have M-tags or have insufficient balance will now be charged 50% additional toll tax on Motorways, a notification issued by the National Highway Authority (NHA) said.

The decision is a move towards encouraging payment of toll taxes through M-tags instead of cash payments. These additional toll charges will be applicable on motorways from June 15, 2025.
The revised toll tax for cars without M-tag or low balance, on Islamabad-Lahore Motorway, has set at Rs. 1,800
Likewise, on M3, from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem, the new additional toll tax will be Rs. 1,200.
On M4, from Pindi Bhattian to Multan, the toll tax is revised to Rs 1,600 cars that make payments in cash. On M5, from Multan to Sukkur, this has been set at Rs. 1,800.
On M14, from DI Khan to Hakla, now the toll tax will be Rs. 1,000 and on Hassan Abdal to Mansehra Expressway cars without sufficient balance in M-Tag will have to pay Rs. 450 now.

For 2 and 3 axle trucks, the toll tax on Lahore to Islamabad Motorway has been set at Rs. 7,900 and for articulated vehicles, Rs 10,200 has been fixed on the same route.
