Islamabad, Aug 12, 2025: Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif displayed an exciting turnaround to defeat the Germany Alexander Widau 2-1 in a hot Group snooker ‘B’ in the World Games at Tianfu Campus Gymnasium of the Civil Aviation Flight University on Monday.
Widau changed that with her victory in the first frame (43-29), but Asif gave an immediate response making a stunning break of 109, tying the match at 116-09. That last frame was nervous though Asif utilized a fatal error meted by Widau to win the spectacle by 67-32 goals and proceed to the quarter-finals. It was a test of concentration and tenacity of mind Asif said of this match.
More precisely in the squash match, the promising Pakistani star Noor Zaman moved on to the final of the plate event after beating the Japan team Ryosei Tsukue 3-1. Noor exhibited a demonstration of green strength by saving numerous game points to win a very hard fought 4th game 12-10. And next Tuesday a final will revolve around him trying to win gold.

In other competitions, the US secured gold in inline hockey after beating the Czech Republic in overtime and China also received triumph in the competitions of freediving and synchronized swimming. Other peers with strong performances in ju-jitsu and tug-of-war included Belgium, France, UAE and Germany.
Muhammad Asifs snooker skills and persistence induced him as a shining player to the fans and to move to the other phase of the World Games.
