Islamabad, 16 April 2025: Islamabad United will aim to extend their winning streak in PSL 2025 as they prepare to face Multan Sultans at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today.
The defending champions, led by Shadab Khan, have made a strong start to their title defence with two emphatic victories.
They began their campaign by defeating Lahore Qalandars by eight wickets, and followed it up with a massive 102-run win over Peshawar Zalmi.
In their most recent match, Islamabad posted a commanding 243/5 after Sahibzada Farhan played a blistering knock of 106 from 52 balls, featuring 13 fours and five sixes.

Their bowlers were equally effective, bundling out Zalmi for just 141. Ben Dwarshuis, Imad Wasim, and Shadab Khan shared seven wickets between them to seal the win.
Meanwhile, Multan Sultans are still in search of their first victory in PSL 2025. They narrowly lost their opening match to Karachi Kings despite putting up a strong total of 234.
Their bowlers were unable to contain Karachi’s counterattack, with James Vince scoring a quick-fire 101 off just 43 balls to lead the chase.
Multan will need a more balanced effort in both batting and bowling if they hope to challenge the in-form Islamabad side.
