Islamabad, Aug 11, 2025: On Sunday, Pakistan women gave Ireland a consolation win after a century by star batter Muneeba Ali in a thrilling final Twenty20 International of the series. They had lost two matches to be 2-0 down in the series but instead Pakistan displayed an inspiration as they managed to win the game in Dublin at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground.
The Irish side had logged a competitive 155-4 with all rounder Orla Prendergast top scoring with an unbeaten 64. Nonetheless, the superlative inning by Muneeba who was accompanied by Aliya Riaz created an unbroken 101 run partnership to reach the target with fourteen balls remaining.
The left-handed opener Muneeba Ali got the tone right, with back to back boundaries off the bowling of Prendergast and scored her 50 in only 29 balls. Her fiery hits which fabled six on the square-leg drove Pakistan in the lead during the chase. The timely single in the 18th over helped her complete her second T20 century as she ended up with 100 runs in 68 balls and the player of the match award.

The Pakistan team had the advantage of getting adequately prepared; they held a 17-day skills camp and another pre-tour training camp in Karachi prior to arriving in Ireland. Pakistan will next play South Africa in a three match series in Lahore later in September with the ICC Women World Cup next up.
It was an excellent performance that would not only give the country the final victory, but emphasized the importance of Muneeba Ali as different challenges await the nation in the next World Cup.
