Islamabad, Mar 15, 2025: Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, speaking as a special guest at the International Parliament for Tolerance & Peace (IPTP) conference in Geneva, stressed the urgent need to resolve the Palestine and Kashmir conflicts through United Nations resolutions, ensuring the right to self-determination.
He also urged the lifting of blockades for humanitarian aid in Gaza and Sudan and called for a ceasefire and a civilian-led peace process in Sudan to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Welcoming former U.S. President Donald Trump’s diplomatic approach, Senator Mushahid hailed his efforts to de-escalate tensions with Iran and promote peace in Ukraine.
He praised the UAE’s leadership under President Mohammed bin Zayed for fostering harmony among diverse nationalities.
Highlighting the upcoming 70th anniversary of the 1955 Bandung Conference, Senator Mushahid Hussain emphasized the growing influence of the Global South, marking a historic shift in global economic and political power.

The event brought together leaders from 40 countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe, with notable speeches from Tajikistan’s Speaker Mohammed Zakirzade and IPU Secretary-General Martin Chungong.
The IPTP, a parliamentary arm of the Global Council for Tolerance & Peace, continues its mission of fostering global unity and diplomacy.
