Islamabad, Mar 2, 2025: The Director General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore, Muhammad Ahtram Dar, received complaints from victims of financial fraud in housing and investment schemes during the monthly open court session.
The session covered Ponzi schemes like the Sarmaya Dari Company, Unique Solar Scandal, and For U Real Traders Scandal, in addition to housing frauds involving Al-Rehman Garden Phase-7.

The DG NAB investigated the Unique Solar Scandal in response to complaints and warned the public against fraudulent investment schemes that solicit funds through social media. 284 victims of the Sarmaya Dari Company Scandal have filed claims totaling Rs. 480 million with NAB Lahore.
As the matter progresses from the Complaint Verification (CV) phase to the investigative stage, legal procedures will shortly start. In relation to the For U Real Traders Scandal, the NAB has increased the size of its team of investigators in Punjab and will dispatch a team to Karachi to collect claims from local victims.
In the Omega Housing Scandal, the DG NAB managed the retrieval of all affected individuals’ complete data, ensuring strict adherence to the six-month reimbursement policy. He also ordered certain WhatsApp groups to provide victims with frequent information on the progress of their cases.
Addressing the crowd, the DG NAB reaffirmed the agency’s determination to move swiftly to stop financial fraud in compliance with clear directives from the Chairman NAB. The victims cautioned about the development of fraudulent activities and requested.
The NAB to begin social media awareness campaigns against investment frauds. Participants noted the NAB’s role in recovering funds from scammers and encouraged the agency to tackle smaller-scale fraud cases.
